1. Collect the inputs
Record the brand, storefront URL, approved offer, exclusions, exact consent text and destination list. Decide who owns offer redemption and customer questions. Save references for typography, color and imagery. Do not start with an unapproved discount.
2. Set the behavior
Choose page rules, devices, delay or click trigger, frequency, size and entrance. Name pages that must remain untouched, such as account and checkout experiences. Decide whether a game adds to the brief or distracts from the visitor’s task.
3. Review an actual artifact
Inspect the generated form at desktop and narrow mobile widths. Revise copy and layout before approval. Check a long email, the keyboard, close button, consent unchecked, invalid address and a failing submission. For games, inspect the motion and the final outcome.
4. Test delivery separately
Use a dedicated list and a consenting test address. Check stored consent, the queued job, provider acceptance and list membership after any opt-in email. A screenshot of a success message does not establish delivery.
5. Publish with an owner
Approve the exact artifact, record the time and take a storefront screenshot. Assign a person who can pause the form, watch errors and handle the first support request. Keep the previous design and the change record for a straightforward rollback.
6. Review results
Compare accepted signups with counted impressions over a defined period, then check delivery failures and list quality. Record traffic changes and campaign promotions before attributing movement to the popup design. Do not report simulated preview activity as real performance.
